Finding Images and Media Online: Understand Licensing and Use of the Public Domain
Saturday, June 26, 3:15 - 4:15 pm, Chippewa

Presenter: Barbara Waxer, Freelance Author

Barbara Waxer, media arts textbook author, has always relied on the kindness of artistic strangers for her source art. She’s been highly motivated to learn how to find images and media on the Web. We’ll explore open access licensing and the public domain, and how you can find quality media you can use in your projects. Bring your laptop for hands-on learning.

About the Presenter:

Barbara Waxer is a freelance author. She writes and edits primarily for Cengage Learning in intellectual property, Web, Adobe, and Microsoft products. Barbara teaches copyright and writing classes at Santa Fe Community College. This year, Cengage will publish her titles Making the Web Work for You: Web 2.0, Upgrading to Microsoft Office 2010.
